When one is too used to their surroundings, they begin to fail to see things that would be problematic to someone else’s eyes, that’s why I beleive that Liang Qichao and He Zhen brought about how Chinese politics should be when they were outside China rather than doing everything from the inside. I think it’s important to see things from other perspectives to be able to feel and understand other viewpoints and so on. This is exactly what Liang Qichao and He Zhen did as they explored those different viewpoints when they were outside and distanced from the place they were most accustomed to. They were able to gain a positive influence from seeing the way foreign politics worked and so on. For me, I felt this when I started to hang out with someone outside the toxic friend group I had in the past and realized that friends shouldn’t make me feel the way the people from that old friend group of mine made me feel. I learned what having a real friend was like and it changed my concept on the whole idea of friendship as a whole. They didn't see eye to eye on a few things which I think actually might have had to do with their gender. Liang Qichao being a male and He Zhen being a female might make things a bit different for the two since their upbringing was bound to be different in terms of education and so on. Liang Qichao feared the colonism while He Zhen was more focused on the nationalistic system and it’s inequalities.
